Prayer Blog

Dear Friends:

My heart is heavy for all the suffering around the world today as we experience the COVID-19 pandemic. As a follower of Jesus, I find comfort in knowing God’s heart for us as He invites all nations to seek Him in prayer as we weather this storm together. I believe He cares for each of us and desires to help us. He is also honored when we support one another. One way we can do this is to simply lift up each other’s needs in prayer.

I invite you to share your prayer requests on this page by leaving a comment and to pray for the requests of others as they post them here. Even if you are not a person of faith, I invite you to leave a request so others can pray for you. Each prayer request will be reviewed before it is published because our purpose is to collectively seek God’s mercy, to provide community for those who gather here, and to promote healing, not identity politics or condemnation in any form. The God of the Bible, whom I have grown to trust through personal experience, is a God of love. Please join me in asking Him to hear and answer these prayers as we unite our hearts with His purposes:

Heavenly Father:

I praise you as King of the universe, Lord of my life, and acknowledge you as greater than any need. I bow my knee and heart in humble submission to you. Thank you for inviting us before your throne of grace. Thank you for caring for each of us and hearing us as we pray.

  • Lord, search my heart today and reveal anything that displeases you as I ask for your forgiveness and seek to know you better.
  • I pray for those who are fearful; may they find peace in you.
  • I pray for those who are sick; may they encounter you as their healer.
  • I pray for those who grieve the loss of loved ones; may they find comfort in you.
  • I pray for those who are lonely; may they experience your love in community with us.
  • I pray for those who are shunned and mistreated because of others’ prejudices. I ask you to heal their wounds and bring conviction of sin to those who have hurt them.
  • I pray for the leaders of our nations. Please make them truly wise and discerning. May their words and actions reflect your heart.
  • I pray for healthcare workers around the world. I ask you to protect them and to aid them in their labors.
  • I pray for scientists and researchers to receive supernatural wisdom and knowledge as they search for a vaccine and medications to treat this virus.
  • I pray for people around the world to love sacrificially. May this especially be true of me. Teach me your ways and deliver me from my own.
  • Lord, help me to trust in your goodness more than my own understanding.

Thank you for hearing my prayers as I lift them up to you in the name of Jesus, my Lord and Savior.  Amen.

  1. Please pray for my son and myself, who have been abused by my husband and depressed severely over many years. We pray for my husband’s learning of loving others as himself, valuing the weight of family over himself. Please pray for a high-quality lawyer for divorce and saving my son and me from such a painful disaster.

    • Anna, I am praying for you and your family. Thank you for reaching out. Please message me and give me a phone number if you would like to personally pray together.
